About this picture
I’ve seen this mountain 100 times and failed to capture the beauty of it at least 1000 times. It’s so close to the location I stay at in Silverthorne, Colorado that I always seem to have either no foreground or a bunch of buildings in the way.
This day in the fall was perfect though. Clouds covered the top, which is a sort of bowl anyways but you can’t tell in this photo. The orange stood out in the front like crazy. It was an easy shot to capture. Just point and shoot.
It feels like I waited forever for this shot. Finally got it.
